The External Missed Opportunity Workgroup’s objectives are to eliminate perinatal transmission of HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis. This group consists of providers, case managers, from funded and non-funded agencies along with MDHHS staff. The group's focus is to provide information on reported new perinatal cases, trends, treatments, and guidance in implementing and innovative policies and standards to eliminate missed opportunities. Additionally, this workgroup aids in the communication and development of workflow charts used to simplify testing and treatment for pregnant women.
HIV Clinical Nurse, Division Manager, Bureau director , Internal perinatal congenital syphilis and HIV staff , External partners from ID, OB,Health sysytems clinics CBO's Health departments
Communicate trends, findings of testing, and abnormal or out-of-the-ordinary events

The time constraint (most participants are providers) and are not always available
