Denver Metro STI Coalition (DMSC) created an infographic "Provider Management for the prevention of congenital syphilis in Colorado" adapted from the California Prevention Training Center and the California Department of Public Health, Prenatal Syphilis Screening, Staging, Treatment, and Monitoring for Congenital Syphilis. These resources align with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, MMWR recommendations, and interventions to identify pregnant women with syphilis outside of prenatal care to increase screening, timely treatment and compliance, adequate follow up, and provider resources for reporting and clinical consultation.

The infographic was adapted from the California Prevention Training center. The new infographic was created by several members of DMSC including a group of medical health professionals and local and state health department staff.

This initiative has just launched and is in a process of evaluating the reach and outcome of this activity.

The established network of Denver Metro STI Coalition was integral part of getting provider buy-in and expertise in creating the infographic.
